Top Five Best Builds for 2.6 and Legacy League

Hey guys. Today I will be discussing some of the best starter builds for 2.6.0; Legacy League. These builds have to be cheap, efficient, rewarding, and most importantly, fun and easy to play. Some of these builds may be meta builds, but others will not be. Every build can be efficient with the right player. I try to find unique builds for you guys to play. By playing meta builds, not only can it get boring and repetitive, but item prices are much higher. Keep in mind that each of these builds are tested and recommended by me! For Softcore I personally would play Dual Flameblast Totems. For Hardcore, I would play Dual RF totems. These are the best builds for 2.6

Firestorm

Firestorm is one of the best options for 2.6.0. Even though area of effect got nerfed, it is still a very powerful skill. It maintains the great clear speed it has always had and scales very well. There are no major items required for this build which makes it cheap to gear and skill. You obtain a large part of your damage through stacking “More Damage” gems onto Firestorm such as Controlled Destruction and Concentrated Effect. Firestorm also gets a lot of damage from its many options of curses. This particular build also utilizes minions for extra damage tanking capabilities.

Dual RF Totems

Every build guide has to have a totem build. This build utilizes Righteous Fire with dual Spell Totems to create two auras of death and degeneration for any monsters that come near. Just like the summoner, Dual RF totems have the advantage of letting monsters attack totems, making you safer. This lets you scale more damage cheaply while retaining tankiness. Additionally, this particular build utilizes double or triple curse to penetrate resistances, increase degeneration effects, slow monsters, and reduce their damage. This build is reflect-immune.

Dual Flameblast Totems

Returning from last league, are the Dual Flameblast Totems. I started on Softcore Breach League with this build and it worked out magnificently. After the first weekend of the league, I had worked my way up to 50 exalts of investments. Like all totem builds, Flameblast Totems don’t require much defense and can prioritize damage. Stacking damage on the already powerful skill Flameblast, and multiplying it by two, makes this my pick to start Legacy League.

Fire Nova Mines

Fire Nova Mines have very fast clear speed. This is something that can’t be stressed enough. Early in a league, generally, the more maps you run, the richer you become. You don’t have to have the highest damage build as long as it is fast, and this build delivers. Although the AoE radius on Fire Nova Mine got nerfed, you can use a Carcass Jack or Divinarius to negate the nerf. Additionally, This build does not require any core unique. This allows you to cap out your resistances very cheaply and start endgame mapping to invest in other builds or items. This build is reflect-immune.

Elemental Buzzsaw

This is my favorite build of all time, although I play a lowlife variant. Popularized by Mathil, this build survived the test of time. For anyone who wants to try this build, it may be harder to fully gear out than the builds above. However, this is a full endgame build. It can do anything and everything from Malachai to Shaper. This build clears at pre-nerf Windripper levels of speed. This build edges out its two-handed variant because of  its higher attack speed and whirling blades.
